I not understand why? always, when they say "blanquitos" attach the word "fucking",
We peruvians are also in many times "fucking peruvians", and mexicans, and boricuas, and europeans,and asians too, everybody is "fucking everybody".
But I feel ok,no complains. U no what? because sometimes the "fucking blanquitos" kids are really really great people, better than us "the fucking immigrants".

that's a good question and I'll try to give you some thoughts about it. the 'fucking' may due to: the blanquitos, while sometimes beings great people (just as you and me), have fucked up many neighborhoods, imposed trends oblivious to everybody else and are absolutely and grotesquesly self-complacent; in addition, they are too generationally minded and gregarious. In my experience in NYC I have seen blanquitos by age groups only, living together, claiming to be liberal and compasionate and so on, without doing a fucking thing about real people; or exposing themselves to the full experience of the city. That's why -to me- they are sort of a caricature. In fact, their being 'blanquitos' has nothing to do with the color of their skin. I have seen blanquitos ruin white non-blanquito neighborhoods also. Like the Lower East Side and Northern Williamsburgh and Greenpoint. The blanquitos are an actual social group (Mid-Westeners or Europeans, non-raised in NYC, from well to do families, etc.) They live in the city for a while, by choice. I live in this fucking city because I have no other choice, nothing else would work for me or my art. I have to make this place work FOREVER. Blanquitos usually leave after a while (5-6 years); when they are tired of some much activity and noise, they leave. They change things, and disrupt lives and then leave. So they never really care about neighborhoods or communities.
So fuck the blanquitos, unless they prove worthy of other kind of treatment. THis is, of course, a generalization -but it is 1)a useful generalization and 2)an open ended one, so if a blanquito is cool and great a warm space is carved for him or her). Monxo
yes specially the ones who don't call themself immigrants those are the most fucking ones...
